Summary

Two different composite structures are considered from the cryostability point of view. In one composite, the copper is concentrated around the axis of the wire and in the second, the copper is located in a peripheral shell. Special attention is paid to the detrimental effects on cryostability of the highly resistive barriers. Experimental results show how stability can be strongly influenced by the position of the stabilizing copper.
