Summary

The solution heat exchanger is one of the main components of high-temperature absorption heat pumps. Its heat transfer effectiveness and enhancement are very important to the improvement of heat pump performance and the decrease of equipment size and operating expenses. The effect of various degrees of heat transfer effectiveness on the performance of a heat pump system for water/glycol was analyzed and discussed, the relationship between the heat transfer temperature difference and exergetic loss with heat transfer effectiveness and the correlation with heat pump performance were developed in the paper.
