Installation defects caused by accelerated refrigerant liquids.
Anlagenschäden durch beschleunigte Kältemittelflüssigkeiten.
Author(s) : KORN D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
It is not unusual that pressure peaks, for pressures above maximum operating pressure, occur. This is due mainly to liquid refrigerant causing "impact shock" or "liquid hammer" effects, under certain conditions. Examples of damage are reported; ways to avoid this damage, in the planning or installation stages, are reported.
