Intelligent comfort control system.

Author(s) : LO W. C., LAI H. Y.

Summary

The intelligent comfort control system (ICCS) is developed to provide the desired comfort based on predicted mean vote (PMV). The ICCS learns and generalizes the thermal comfort distribution of a room under different supply and environmental conditions from CFD simulation results. The ICCS has several input modules, which estimate the clothing insulation of the occupants and the mean-radiant temperature of the room. These modules enable the system to keep track with the environment and thus adjust the supplying parameters to avoid overcooling or overheating.
