Intelligent control of a reversible heat pump.

Summary

There were three control loops in the reversible heat pump used: expansion valve and discharge temperature loop; inverter-compressor and inverter current loop; and indoor fan-grille and thermal comfort loop. For each control loop, fuzzy-logic control was used and control of the whole system was achieved using an artificial neural network. Experiments showed that the proposed intelligent control strategy was effective and practical.
