INTERACTION OF HEAT EXCHANGER DESIGN AND HEAT PUMP EFFICIENCY.

Author(s) : FEHLE R., KLAS J., MAYINGER F.

Summary

A COMPUTER PROGRAMME MANAGEABLE ON A PC WAS DEVELOPED TO SIMULATE THE REALISTIC BEHAVIOUR AND PERFORMANCE OF VAPOUR-COMPRESSION HEAT PUMPS. MAIN EMPHASIS WAS LAID ON MODELLING THE THERMO-AND FLUID-DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE HEAT EXCHANGERS. THE PROGRAMME DESCRIBES THE WHOLE THERMODYNAMIC CYCLE OF THE HEAT PUMP, INCLUDING SUBCOOLED CONDITIONS AT THE EXIT OF THE CONDENSER AND SUPERHEATED ONES AT THE EXIT OF THE EVAPORATOR.
