Summary

THE PAPER PRESENTS AN EXERGETIC AND ENERGETIC STUDY OF THE DIF FERENT THERMODYNAMIC LOSSES OF A HERMETIC COMPRESSOR, WHICH ARE DUE TO THE PRESSURE DROPS AND HEAT TRANSFERS DURING DECREASES IN TEMPERATURE. A COMPUTER PROGRAM IS PUT FORWARD FOR CALCULATING A HERMETIC COMPRESSOR AND ITS CONSTITUENT PARTS. THE PROGRAM MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE ACCURATELY THE VARIOUS LOSSES IN THE COMPRESSOR. THESE CAN THEN BE DECREASED BY IMPROVING THE PARTS WHICH CAUSE THE GREATEST LOSSES.
