Summary

Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, power supply systems by gas engines using city gas are on the rise as a response to diversification of electricity supply. The number of newly installed cogeneration systems for air conditioning etc. that use the waste heat synchronize with power generation has been at a high level(see Fig.1). In cogeneration, Single-dual effect type absorption chiller / heater used as a heat source machine for air conditioning is superior in energy saving because use waste heat as a main heat source and supply gas fuel for shortfall(see Fig. 2). We introduce example of specification selection and operation according to the operation method of waste heat utilization absorption chiller/heater of cogeneration system introduced into our Malaysian
factory with high cooling load.
