POINTS OUT THAT INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE COMPOSITION OF INDOOR AIR ARE INCREASINGLY BEING CARRIED OUT BY PEOPLE WHO LACK A SOLID BASIS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF AIR ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURE. THE RESULT IS THAT THEIR FINDINGS MUST BE TREATED WITH SOME CAUTION. DESCRIBES AND EXPLAINS SEVERAL SUCH INFLUENCING FACTORS WHICH ARE OF IMPORTANCE WHEN CARRYING OUT INDOOR AIR MEASUREMENTS. IN ADDITION PROVIDES ADVICE FOR THE CORRECT CARRYING OUT OF THE INVESTIGATIONS.
