Summary

We have investigated the behaviour of the commercially available LakeShore Cryotronics capacitance sensor CS-501GR in the temperature range from 0.048 to 2.3 K. The measurements of the capacitance and dielectric losses at different frequencies and excitation voltages vs. temperature were performed for the CS-501GR sensor. The self-heating of the CS-501GR sensor did not exceed the value of few picowatts at the excitation voltage of 10 mV and the measuring frequency 1 kHz. The minimum on the temperature dependence of the capacitance was found around 80 mK. The mentioned minimum shifts to higher temperatures with increase of the excitation voltage and the measuring frequency. The temperature dependences of capacitance at temperatures from 0.6 to 2.3 K were not influenced by external magnetic field up to 2 T.
