Investigation of the regenerator performance using gas mixtures.

Author(s) : YU J. P., CHEN G. B., GAN Z. H.

Summary

Based on analysis of heat transfer and fluid flow, the authors investigated regenerator performance using gas mixtures, the main component of which is helium or nitrogen. Some calculation results differ somewhat from those reported by Daney. The results may be valuable for further research on improving the refrigerating performance of regenerative cryocoolers in the 80 K temperature region.
