Investigation on air age in a ventilated room using a tracer gas technique.

Summary

The authors obtained the decay curves of tracer gas concentration for eight mechanically ventilated cases in a test chamber. They calculated the air age from the test data. It is shown that the experiments were done with good repeatability and the test results of air age were reasonable, which indicate the flow pattern and freshness of the outdoor air in the ventilated space.
