Summary
The authors investigate experimentally the characteristics and structures of flow field near the diffuser with particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurement technique in order to obtain the boundary conditions for numerical simulation of air distribution in cabins. They obtained the time averaged velocity fields on ten sections and 25 three-dimensional velocity vectors of intersections.
