Summary

The comparative analysis of the values of film heat transfer coefficient calculated for binary ice on the basis of the relationships found in the literature and experimental data have been presented in the paper. The authors found that in some cases the discrepancy between experimental data and calculated values are of the order of several hundred percent. The authors proposed the modification of the equation of Christensen-Kauffeld for an average film heat transfer coefficient. This modification was proposed on the basis of the authors' experimental data for coil and plate heat exchangers.
