Summary

IT WAS ONLY IN 1983 THAT THE BUILDING OF COLD STORES WAS ACCELERATED IN ORDER TO INCREASE STORAGECAPACITIES TO 7 M3 PER 100 INHABITANTS. EXISTING COLD STORES ARE BEING REBUILT AND NEW STORES ARE NOW BEING ERECTED. THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS USE LARGE CAPACITY CONTROLLED SCREW COMPRESSORS IMPORTED FROM THE GDR.
