Summary

This article deals with insulation at low temperature. The parameters must be determined in the most realistic manner possible before commencing insulation activities so as to avoid any unwelcome surprises at a later date. As well as the prevention of surface condensation, a reliable insulation system must also ensure that moisture cannot accumulate on the inside of the insulating material. This is generally caused by processes involving the transfer of steam, a problem that the author addresses in more detail in this article.
