Summary

Some aspects of the influence of the constructional characteristics of an air cooler having an octed-type wingy transfer surface on its thermal performances are pointed out. A comparative analysis was therefore made of the behaviour of the tested octed-type air cooler having a surface of 200 m2 as compared to the similar air coolers. The constructional characteristics analyzed comparatively refer to the wing technology, constructional solution adopted for the cooling surface and the technical characteristics of the fan fitted at the cooler.
