Summary

The World Council on Energy has come up with some scenarios on world energy outlook. With a few exceptions, everything is more or less set until 2020, because of the inertia of current systems of production and consumption. To avoid serious consequences after 2020 radical choices must be made now, particularly on the environment and on equal access to energy.
