Summary

THE ARTICLE PRESENTS A MATHEMATICAL MODEL WHICH REVEALS THE EFFECTS OF VAPOUR ACCUMULATION CAPACITY BY THE STRUCTURES OF A ROOM. THE APPLICATION OF THIS MODEL TO 2 TYPICAL CASES OF ROOM OCCUPANCY REVEALS THAT THE STRUCTURES PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE: THEY CLEARLY REDUCE RELATIVE HUMIDITY FLUCTUATIONS EVEN WITHOUT AUTOMATIC CONTROL. THIS EFFECT IS ALL THE MORE SIGNIFICANT -AT AN EQUAL OVERALL LATENT LOAD -THAT THE VAPOUR SOURCES IN THE ROOM BECOME INCREASINGLY CONCENTRATED.
