Type of article: Article
Summary
SIMPLIFIED TRANSFER FUNCTIONS ARE PROPOSED IN ORDER TO ESTIMATE THE DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF A WALL UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS. THE CRITERION ADOPTED IS THE RESPONSE TIME, REPRESENTING AN OVERALL PARAMETER, CAPABLE OF SYNTHESISING DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF THE SYSTEM. A CRITERION IS PROPOSED ALSO FOR ADJUSTING SIMPLIFIED TRANSFER FUNCTION COEFFICIENTS TO SYSTEMS WITH HIGH THERMAL INERTIA. THE RESULTS, COMPARED TO ACCURATE SOLUTIONS, GIVE CLOSE APPROXIMATIONS FOR ALL CASES CONSIDERED.
