Summary
The EU-F-Gas regulation intends to reduce the Greenhouse Gas Emissions. EPEE (European Partnership for Energy and the Environment) member companies have investigated in research and development to adapt their products in the direction of the reduction of these emissions. For the assessment of the best choice of the refrigerant and system for a specific application, the method of eco-efficiency is used and described. This paper provides an overview of the latest developments of EPEE member companies, which support energy savings and active leakage protection due to the reduction of direct and indirect CO2 emissions. In particular, the topics of specific design with newly developed construction elements, system solutions and the advantageous use of refrigerants are presented.
