Summary
With an increasing number of reports on the infection of SARS, new respiratory illness, and MRSA, environmental hygiene has drawn intentions of people, and microbe-removal or antibacterial technology is now required even in general air conditioning. This paper explains microbe removal technology by means of air filter, plasma electric discharge and photo-catalyst in general air conditioning. Since the removal technology using air filters seems particularly important, some case studies are also given.
