Summary

Residential buildings and premises need an appropriate indoor temperature and enough clean air to assure the health and comfort of the building's user. An indoor climate system is needed to fulfil these demands. The indoor climate system is a generic term for heating, cooling and ventilation. In any building, a number of different indoor climate systems can carry out the task. The indoor climate system must be chosen at some point in time during the building process. This choice can be based on, for example, initial cost, function, habit or life cycle cost.
