LINEAR THEORY OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN A SORPTION REGENERATOR.

Author(s) : SZCZECHOWIAK E.

Summary

THE PAPER REPORTS SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN A SORPTION REGENERATOR. THE BEHAVIOUR OF THIS MODEL IS DESCRIBED BYEQUATIONS WITH COUPLED HYPERBOLIC NONLINEAR PARTIAL DERIVATES. THE EQUATION WAS SOLVED BY THE INTRODUCTION OF NEW VARIABLES CALLED CHARACTERISTIC POTENTIALS REPLACING SORBATE ENTHALPY AND CONTENT. CHARTS ARE GIVEN FOR THE CHARACTERISTIC PARAMETERS OF THE MATRIX MADE OF ASBESTOS IMPREGNATED WITH LITHIUM CHLORIDE. AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE METHOD IS GIVEN.
