Summary

THREE LIQUID NITROGEN COOLING SYSTEMS FOR RAIL TRUCKS WERE STUDIED. THE DIRECT INJECTION LIQUID NITROGEN SYSTEM IS THE SIMPLEST BUT IT DOES NOT PROVIDE EVEN TEMPERATURE FIELD WITH SUFFICIENT CIRCULATION OF THE GAS MIXTURE. THE SECOND SYSTEM WITH LIQUID NITROGEN EVAPORATION IN A HEAT EXCHANGER AND USE OF NITROGEN PRESSURE ENERGY IN THE EJECTOR FACILITATES CIRCULATION ; THE THIRD SYSTEM USING THE ADIABATIC EXPANSION OF SUPERHEATED NITROGEN IN A TURBO-EXPANDER DECREASES SPECIFIC NITROGEN CONSUMPTION BY 20 TO 30%. AT THE MOMENT THE SECOND LIQUID NITROGEN COOLING SYSTEM IS RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN PRACTICE.
