Summary

MAGNETORESISTANCE OF THE CRYOGENIC LINEAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (CLTS) WAS DETERMINED IN DEPENDENCE ON FIELD AND TEMPERATURE. BASED ON ITS SIGNIFICANT NEGATIVE MAGNETORESISTANCE AND DUE TO ITS SMALL DIMENSIONS THIS SENSOR CAN BE USED TO MEASURE MAGNETIC FIELD WITHIN SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET WINDINGS. THIS METHOD HAS BEEN APPLIED IN THE 3 COIL ARRANGEMENT OF THE SUPERCONDUCTING TESPE TORUS MAGNET SYSTEM AND GOOD AGREEMENT HAS BEEN FOUND WITH CALCULATED FIELD DATA.
