A METHOD SUITABLE FOR MEASURING THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF GOOD THERMAL CONDUCTORS AT LOW TEMPERATURES WAS IMPLEMENTED. IT SUCCESSFULLY SERVED ITS PURPOSE: TO DETECT THE EFFECT OF DOPING WITH MANGANESE THE INTERFILAMENT PART OF THE COPPER MATRIX OF THE SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE USED IN THE MAGNETS OF THE SSC.
