INDUSTRIAL REFRIGERATION PLANT REQUIRE LOGICAL CONTROL AND SAFETY FUNCTIONS. MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEMS REPLACE NOW CONVENTIONAL ELECTROMECHANICAL CONTROLS. THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES AND EXPLAINS THE PRINCIPLE OF THESE SYSTEMS, THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, TABLES, TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE SENSORS WITH THEIR DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS. THE STANDARD SOFTWARE, IN THE CASE OF ONE OR SEVERAL COMPRESSORS, IS STUDIED. THE SYSTEM CONTINUOUSLY ANALYSES THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE COMPRESSORS AND THE WHOLE PLANT. A COMMUNICATION BY AN INTERFACE FILE CARD TO A COMPUTER SCREEN OR A PRINTER CAN BE PROVIDED FOR CONTROLLING THE OPERATING SEQUENCES OF COMPRESSORS, FOR ALARM OR INDICATION OF FAULTS.
