THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS AND THEIR CONVENTIONAL MANUFACTURING PROCESS, WITH FLUX BRAZING OF ALUMINIUM AND REPORTS A NEW PROCESS FOR ALUMINIUM BRAZING WITHOUT FLUX, UNDER VACUUM, WITH ITS APPLICATION TO THE MANUFACTURE OF PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS. THESE TWO MANUFACTURING PROCESSES ARE COMPARED AND THE BUILDING OF THE MANUFACTURING PLANT FOR THESE EXCHANGERS, THEIR CAPACITY AND THEIR VERY WIDE DOMAIN OF USE, AT TEMPERATURES RANGING BETWEEN 4 AND 333 K (-269 AND 60 DEG C) ARE DISCUSSED.
