Matching heat sources cooling load and heat rejection capability with an absorption machine.

Author(s) : DORGAN C. E., DORGAN C. B.

Summary

A guide has been developed for ASHRAE for the application of absorption cooling/refrigeration using recovered heat. It is an excellent reference tool and will assist in the design and application of absorption systems by providing detailed background information and selection criteria. Topics covered include basic principles of operation, methods of heat recovery, application procedures and example selections. The paper reviews the organization of the Guide and presents the application procedure developed and two example selections which include a lithium-bromide system and an aqueous ammonia refrigeration system.
