Summary
In the paper a method of thermodynamic processes investigation within a stage of a reciprocating compressor is suggested by means of the mathematical modelling. It is capable to evaluate the effect of different factors on the compressor efficiency and to obtain the information concerning the quality and performance of a machine existing or being designed.
