Mathematical modeling of air supply conditions of multi-storey residential buildings.

Summary

The increasing building energy decreases demand and the high air-tight structure windows gather ground to the problem of appropriate air supply of gas appliances. The main goal of the investigation is to develop a mathematical model which examines the air supply conditions of a residential building and the air supply of the operating gas appliances. On the other hand, the model can handle the effects of external temperature, various winds, operating extractor hood and the gravitation in the same time. The basic idea of the model is that the investigated system is a loop network. In the calculation, air is assumed to be an incompressible fluid. Therefore the Newton-Raphson method is appropriate to determine the questionable flow rates.
