Summary
A mathematical model of the defrost process of air coolers with the use of hot refrigerant vapour is briefly described, together with its advantages over existing processes. The model makes it possible to find the external characteristics (duration of defrost and the efficiency of the process), as well as the internal parameters of the process (refrigerant consumption, temperature and condensing pressure).
