Summary
The development of Marine Clip on Units for 20 foot ISO containers and 20 foot Integral containers is reviewed and details are given of the air circulation systems fitted to them. Early in situ testing of the evaporator fan systems largely followed BS 848 and later tests used a modified version of the Standard and also the Log Tchebychev Method which is included in BS 848. Results of tests on a 40 foot Integral Reefer and a Clip on Unit are given which compare evaporator fan volumes at various fan speeds under the 3 test methods. G.R.S.
