Summary

THE PROJECT TO CONSTRUCT AND INVESTIGATE A SUPERCONDUCTING LINEAR ACCELERATOR < ALPI > INCLUDES THE CONSTRUCTION OF 93 SUPERCONDUCTING CAVITIES OF THE QUARTER WAVE TYPE WITH LEAD, WHICH HAS A CRITICAL TEMPERATURE OF 7.2 K, AS THE SUPERCONDUCTOR. IN THE NOTE A TECHNIQUE USING VACUUM BRAZING TO JOINT DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE RESONATOR IS DESCRIBED, TOGETHER WITH THE MEASUREMENTS OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF THE MATERIAL USED BETWEEN THE COPPER.
