Metal hydride heat conversion on the basis of superadiabatic thermal waves in porous media.

Summary

The paper treats a new concept of metal hydride heat conversion by means of superadiabatic thermal waves in porous media. It is proposed to incorporate the poles of metal-hydride heat converters in the channels filled with a porous medium. The heat regeneration in the thermal waves, successively passing the heat converter poles, allows minimizing of irreversible heat losses for heating/cooling of apparatus elements. The simplified theoretical model of the proposed method was investigated by a numerical simulation method.
