Summary
The paper deals with methods of cooling and conservation of organs for transplantation. In the first part the influence of ischemia on the preservation time of organs is discussed. Such cooling processes are described as hypothermia, pulse perfusion, perfusion “ex vivo” and vitrification. Properties of chosen preservation solutions are presented. Temperature conditions for preservation of organs from group A and B are also compared.
