THE PAPER DEALS WITH AIR CONDITIONING PLANT USING AIR AND WATER AS HEAT AND COLD SOURCES: INDUCTION PLANT AND PRIMARY AIR FAN-COIL PLANT. MIXED SYSTEMS, ESPECIALLY FAN-COIL UNITS ARE WIDELY USED ; HOWEVER, THE RESULTS HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN SATISFACTORY, AS SOME VERY IMPORTANT FACTORS WERE NOT ALLOWED FOR. THE AUTHOR CONSIDERS THE FOLLOWING: REQUIREMENTS DETERMINING EXTERNAL AIR AMOUNTS ; THE REQUIREMENT OF A USEFUL EVALUATION OF CHANGE-OVER TEMPERATURE ; THE MOST FREQUENTLY ADOPTED SYSTEMS (TWO AND FOUR DUCTS). HE ALSO STATES THE POSSIBLE < INTELLIGENT > OPERATION OF PLANT BY MICROPROCESSORS.
