Summary

A single stage compressor pumps a mixture of refrigerants to a condenser in which the highest condensing temperature fluid at that pressure is condensed. Liquid is separated from remaining gases and is evaporated at common suction pressure to form the coolant to condense another component of the mixture. This in turn is evaporated to condense the next component. The gases remain at a common condensing pressure until the final, lowest temperature condensation takes place. The final condensate is then evaporated to produce the very low temperature cooling required. D.W.H.
