Summary
The paper describes the development of auto-cascade refrigeration, and introduces its principle and characteristics. A comparison is made among auto-cascade refrigeration, single-stage compression refrigeration, double-stage compression refrigeration and cascade refrigeration. Furthermore, it shows research on auto-cascade refrigeration nowadays, and some shortcomings are discussed. Finally, some issues are presented for consideration in the design process.
