Modeling the cosorption properties of desiccant materials.
Author(s) : CHAU C. K., WOREK W. M.
Summary
In the past, liquid desiccants like triethylene glycol have been determined to have the capacity of removing not only water vapour, but contaminants from the indoor air streams as well. The study develops a numerical model to simulate the cosorption characteristics of triethylene glycol for indoor air contaminants under various operating conditions through packed tower columns. A theoretical development of the model as well as the constituent equations needed in the model are presented.
