Summary

The method of solubility of a gas in a liquid for binary mixtures on the basis of general conditions of the thermodynamic equilibrium is offered and realized that gives the possibility to define not only the composition of the liquid phase but that of the vapor phase. To solve the obtained set of non­linear equations the method of Newton and Gibbs–Duhem relations were used, herewith the laws of diluted solutions were not applied. A designed algorithm was tested on the basis of the three­parameter cubic equation of state for low­temperature binary systems; in all cases the convergence process of the calculation process was observed. The comparison of calculated data with corresponding experimental results for nitrogen–neon, butane–ethylene, nitrogen–oxygen systems is given.
