Summary
Notes that displacement ventilation and panel cooling have been increasingly used for air conditioning in recent years. The engineering design and evaluation of these systems require the provision of simple but precise algorithms. These also provide the preconditions for carrying out computer simulations with which preliminary experience can be amassed without having to construct prototypes. Notes that the relevant standards and guidelines contain very little advice on the possibilities for calculating new cooling systems. Presents a model verified against measured data which meets these requirements and which is intended especially to help with problems of the vertical air temperature curve.
