Summary
THE AUTHORS PRESENT A NEW CRYOGENIC CYCLE WHICH IS A MODIFIED GIFFORD-MCMAHON CYCLE. THE ADVANTAGE OF THE COOLER USING THIS CYCLE IS GOOD EFFICIENCY OF THE PISTON EXPANDER, LONG LIFETIME AND SMALL VIBRATIONS IN THE GIFFORD-MCMAHON COOLER. THIS NEW CYCLE IS ALSO USED FORA MULTISTAGE CRYOCOOLER. THIS CYCLE IS COMPARED WITH THE GIFFORD-MCMAHON CYCLE FOLLOWED BY A THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF THE CYCLE.
