THERE EXISTS A CERTAIN SIMILARITY BETWEEN THE PHYSICAL COMPONENTS OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, THE < BLACK BOXES > WHICH DESCRIBE ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS AND THE COMPUTER SIMULATION SUBROUTINES. THIS IS USED AS A BASIS FOR A MODULAR SIMULATION SOFTWARE SYSTEM (< BRISTOL > SYSTEM). THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE LAYOUT OF THE MODULAR SYSTEM AREGIVEN AS WELL AS THE SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS SYSTEM.
