Moisture transport in domestic refrigerators.

Author(s) : INAN C., EGRICAN N., BULLARD C., et al.

Summary

Assessments of the moisture loading of a refrigerator cabinet during closed door and open door conditions are considered. During closed door conditions, moisture transport is related to differences in water vapour pressure between the cabinet and its surroundings. Open door moisture transport relations are developed from experimental open door convection results. Finally, the energy implication of moisture removal by defrost heating is considered.
