Summary
The first part of this article is devoted to general modelling and simulation principles (see IIR Bulletin, ref. 2000-0697); in the second part, the authors describe modules of various plant components. They describe a method used to simulate the continuous-duty performance of air-conditioning plant, heat pumps and vapour-compression refrigerating plant. The modular approach described was implemented in order to develop MoMo (Modular Modelling) software at Cetiat with financial support from EDF and Ademe. The method used to develop the model is described, as is the accuracy of results obtained.
