A MEASURING PROCESS SUITABLE FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION WAS EVALUATED, AND SUBSEQUENTLY AN INITIAL APPROPRIATE MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR ONE CONTAMINANT WAS DEVELOPED. FOLLOWING ITS SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION IN VARIOUS PLANTS, FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT. TODAY, THERE ARE MEASURING INSTRUMENTS AVAILABLE THAT ARE CAPABLE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY MEASURING SEVERAL DIFFERENT COMPONENTS.
