Summary
Both refrigerants R-404A and R-507 have been introduced as HFC solutions for low-temperature applications such as supermarket refrigeration systems. The two refrigerant blends have been compared in various studies. While both candidates have proven to be able to successfully replace R-502 and have demonstrated good performance in the application field investigated, a number of differences do exist amongst the two blends that justify further detailed evaluation.
