Summary

OPTIMIZATION FACTORS CONSIDERED THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM TOTAL COST OF EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT THE SYSTEM AND THE MINIMUM ANNUAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION. THE THREE CONSTRAINTS IN THESE CONSIDERATIONS WERE: A) THE HEATING CYCLE AND MASS FLOW RELATIONSHIPS ; B) THE PERMISSIBLE NOISE LEVEL FROM FANS AND C) THE LOWER LIMITS OF EVAPORATING TEMPERATURES IN ORDER TO AVOID FROST FORMATION ON THE COOLING COIL.
